Practice Summary
Simon represents both claimants and respondents in the Employment Tribunal, including case management discussions, preliminary hearings and final merits and remedy hearings. He deals with a variety of employment claims including those for unfair, constructive and wrongful dismissal and for unfair redundancy, discrimination claims, equal pay and TUPE.
Recently Simon has been instructed by a number of local authorities and has advised upon issues in relation to Local Authority employer liability under the Direct Payments Scheme, Trade Union disputes and TUPE proceedings.
Simon also drafts ET1 originating applications in addition to ET3 grounds of resistance.
Recent Cases
KB v AS & RAP Ltd (2012) - Acting on behalf of the Claimant on a successful sexual discrimination case. Claimant awarded a five figure settlement after trial.
