Practice Summary

Kevin is a specialist criminal law barrister who has gained an exceptional amount of knowledge and understannd of the law over the 10 years he has been practising as a barrister. Prior to being called to the bar he qualified as a solicitor and then subsequently obtained his higher rights of audience.

His practice covers a multitude of cases both defending and prosecuting and as a Grade 3 prosecutor, approved counsel for the Crown Prosecution Service, he finds himself regularly being instructed on cases that involve more serious and onerous prosecutions such as fraud, serious assault, complex robberies, driving offences involving death, child abuse and trials involving child witnesses. The majority of his work is dealt with at the Crown Court but he is occasionally seen in the Court of Appeal and Divisional Courts on appeals.

Owing to his prosecution work he is able to critically evaulate the evidence and assess the likely outcome of a case. This is invaluable experience for his defendant clients as he has the ability to fully understand how cases are prepared for trial.
